Germany Conditional Acceptance Visa: Reach Your University Dream Without Language Barriers
Germany is a center of attraction for students with its free or very low-cost state universities and world-class engineering and social sciences education. The only reason many students postpone their dreams is "Lack of sufficient German language skills".
At Rona Legal, we overcome this barrier through the "Conditional Acceptance" (Bedingte Zulassung) process. You don't need C1-level German to start your university education in Germany; you can go to Germany first, improve your language, and then start university.
What is Conditional Acceptance?
Conditional acceptance is a type of preliminary acceptance given when your academic GPA and graduation status are sufficient to study at a German university, but your language level is not yet at the required level.
The system works as follows:
- 1The university tells you, "You're academically qualified, I'll finalize your enrollment when you reach C1 level".
- 2With this document, you get a Student Visa (Visum zu Studienzwecken) to Germany.
- 3First, you take preparatory education at a language school (within the university or private).
- 4When you pass the DSH or TestDaF exam, you start directly in your department.
2026 Updated Financial Criteria and Blocked Account
The German Consulate pays the most attention to "financial sufficiency" in visa applications. As of 2026, the Blocked Account (Sperrkonto) amounts required to prove that the student can support themselves in Germany have been updated.
At least this amount must be in the blocked account opened in your name for the visa application.
This amount is paid back to you as monthly allowance after you go to Germany.
Note: At Rona Legal, we complete your blocked account opening process through official institutions such as Fintiba or Expatrio within minutes.
Work Permit for Students (New Laws)
With the "Skilled Immigration Act" reform that came into force in March 2024 and is still valid in 2026, the working rights of students taking language courses have been expanded.
Part-Time Work Right
Including students going to language courses with conditional acceptance, you have the right to work legally up to 20 hours per week.
Annual Limit
You have the right to work 140 full days or 280 half days per year. This makes it possible for you to cover your own living expenses while you are a student.
Critical Points: What to Do to Avoid Visa Rejection?
The German student visa is one of the visa types with the strictest bureaucracy. With Rona Legal expertise, we avoid the following critical mistakes in the processes we manage:
1. Academic Consistency and Motivation
The department you studied in undergraduate and the department you apply to in Germany (for Master's) must be compatible. The rejection rate is high for non-field preferences. Additionally, we prepare a Motivation Letter (Motivationsschreiben) that is personalized and strong, answering the question "Why Germany?".
2. No Gap in Education History
If many years have passed since your graduation and you have not spent this time professionally, the consulate may be suspicious of your "student intention". In such cases, we strengthen your file by documenting your professional career.
3. Accommodation Guarantee
It is a great advantage to have arranged where you will stay (dormitory or house) in Germany before going to the visa interview. In Germany, where it is difficult to rent a house without a guarantor, we also provide consultancy on accommodation solutions.
